BONDED PAIRS
Sometimes we rescue rabbits that are already a bonded pair and we look for homes where they can be adopted together. Two rabbits living together are not much more work than a single bunny but are more than twice the fun—and you don't need to worry about them getting bored while you're not there. Some pairs wait a long time to find a permanent home because of the commitment needed for extra space to stretch their legs. Just because they have each other doesn't mean that they need you less. Isn't your heart big enough for a pair?
CHARLOTTE AND WALTER (believed to be mother and son) were dumped in a park along with another bunny (probably another of Charlotte's children, or mayabe Walter's daddy). When their rescuer discovered them, they were so friendly she had no difficulty picking them up. Unfortunately, they were so friendly that they didn't even bother to run from their rescuer's 55 pound dog, who she was walking. The dog caught the third bunny, inflicting fatal wounds before the rescuer was able to stop him.
The good samaritan who rescued Charlotte and Walter (and the third bunny, who died from his injuries) could not keep them, given her dog's aggression toward the third rabbit.
Charlotte and Walter are inseparable, and must be adopted together. They are as loving toward humans as they are toward one another — they love to lick and groom humans, too!
